UsenetServer Review 2026

What stands out

The 12-month plan is attractive when you want the deep Highwinds/Newshosting archive without paying for a more elaborate desktop newsreader bundle. US and European access plus the included VPN strengthen the value proposition.

Limitations

Like Easynews, it shares substantial infrastructure with Newshosting. It is therefore not our first choice as a redundancy account for an existing Newshosting subscriber.

Bottom line

Choose UsenetServer if price-to-retention value matters more than having a polished all-in-one desktop reader.
